- We’ve added a new Auctioneer’s Assistant tool for staff to be able to manually run in-game auctions with players (this should not be confused with an automated auction-house system)
- This new tool will be available for players in the form of an NPC titled the Auctioneer’s Assistant. Interacting with this NPC will allow players to view upcoming auctions as well as list items for sale or manage their listed items.
- to list an item, players need to visit the Auctioneer’s Assistant NPC and talk to them
- there needs to be an existing scheduled auction in order to list items, one that has not has not started and it’s deadline has not been met yet
- you can list items from your backpack or bank
- when listing an item, the item is moved to Global Storage for the auctioneer running the event to try and sell
- if your item does not sell during the auction, it can be re-listed if you indicate it should be Rolled Over, or it will be returned to your bank if you decide not to roll it over
- if you have items returned to you while you are not logged in, the items will be returned to your bank the next time you log in and you will receive a notification
- items that sell during an auction may automatically have the item transferred to the buyer once they have successfully made their payment, and the payment will be credited to your Deposit Account balance (see Bank & Deposit Account wiki for details on how to withdraw that)
- if something comes up during the payment process for your item, we will try to re-process the payment with the buyer or it may end up being returned to you if they cannot resolve the payment issue
- to buy an item you need to phsically attend a scheduled live auction and bid on items you are interested in! make sure to have enough gold
