Gravedigging requires at least 70.0 Mining and 70.0 Forensic Evaluation and the chance to succeed at Gravedigging increases with skill.
Gravedigging allows players to dig up the contents of gravesites. Using a Gravedigging Pickaxe or Gravedigging Shovel you can dig the many gravesites around the world. Gravedigging may disturb creatures and monsters, so be prepared to fight or flee.
Each gravesite has a chance to give reagents, unique Gravedigging-only items, dig up a coffin that may be trapped and locked or dig up the corpse that belongs to that gravesite.
Gravedigging is a good way to harvest Grave Dust, the reagent used in Necromancy.
Gravedigging is considered a criminal action.
Gravedigging Pickaxe or Gravedigging Shovel can be purchased by the Gravedigging Guildmaster(s) at Vesper Graveyard and also Yew Crypts Level 1.
The tools are limited use and come with 100 charges. Each successful use of the tool consumes a charge.
Gravedigging tools can be Insured.
There is a small chance to receive an invitation to the Gravedigging Guild while you are actively digging graves. Joining the guild will yield a lower price on the tools.
Note: You can only be in one Merchant Guild at a time. Currently, the Thieves Guild is the only other guild in use.
