¶ A Guide To Easter Riddle Scrolls

¶ What are Riddle Scrolls?
During the Easter event, you can find Easter Riddle Scrolls throughout Britannia. Each scroll contains a hidden two-word Easter phrase. Your goal is to figure out the phrase and guess it correctly to earn Fabled Carrots as a reward!
¶ How It Works
¶ Step 1: Get a Riddle Scroll
Easter Riddle Scrolls drop from Easter activities only. Each scroll is unique — it has its own hidden phrase and a few letters already revealed.
¶ Step 2: Open the Scroll
Double-click the scroll in your backpack to open it. You will see:
- A short description: “Guess the Easter phrase:”
- The hidden phrase with some letters visible and unknown letters shown as underscores:
G_ _ _ e_ E_ _ - A text field where you can type your guess
The first letter of each word is capitalized when visible, which helps you see where words begin. Spaces between words are always shown.
¶ Step 3: Collect Riddle Characters
Riddle Character items also drop from Easter activities. Each one contains a single letter (shown in the item name, e.g. “A Riddle Character: G”).
To use a Riddle Character:
- Double-click the Riddle Character in your backpack
- Target your Easter Riddle Scroll
- If the letter appears in the hidden phrase and isn’t already revealed, it will be added to the scroll and the Riddle Character is consumed
- If the letter doesn’t appear in the phrase, you keep the Riddle Character (try it on a different scroll!)
- If the letter is already revealed on the scroll, you keep the Riddle Character
Note: Riddle Characters only work on scrolls from the same event. Easter Riddle Characters only work on Easter Riddle Scrolls.
¶ Step 4: Guess the Phrase
When you think you know the phrase, open the scroll, type your guess in the text field, and click “Guess the Word”. The guess is not case-sensitive — golden egg and Golden Egg both work.
¶ Guessing and Consequences
You have three attempts to guess the phrase:

| 3rd | Scroll is destroyed | Reduced reward |
The scroll’s name and window title change to reflect the damage, so you always know how many guesses you have left. Wrong guesses not only risk destroying the scroll but also reduce the reward on your next correct guess — so getting it right on the first try is the most rewarding!
¶ Rewards
When you guess correctly, you receive Fabled Carrots in your backpack. The reward is greater when more letters remain hidden at the time of your guess — solving the puzzle with fewer clues demonstrates greater skill and is rewarded accordingly.
There is also a small chance to get a rare item.
¶ Strategy Tips
- Risk vs. Reward: Guessing early with fewer revealed letters gives more carrots, but you’re more likely to guess wrong. Each wrong guess also reduces the reward for that scroll. Revealing more letters is safer but gives fewer carrots.
- Think about common Easter phrases: The phrases are all Easter-themed two-word combinations like things you’d see in spring — animals, food, nature, decorations.
- Save your Riddle Characters: If a letter doesn’t appear in one scroll’s phrase, try it on another scroll!
- Pay attention to word length: Count the underscores to figure out how long each word is. Combined with the revealed letters, this can help you narrow down possibilities.
- Spaces tell you word boundaries: You can always see where one word ends and the next begins.
- You get three tries: Don’t panic on your first guess. Even if you’re wrong, you still have two more chances.
