Speak with Mirael, the Seer of Ocllo. She can be found in Ocllo town near bank building. Mirael will ask you to travel across the island and collect the stories of 8 storytellers who hold the forgotten lore of Ocllo.
Visit all 8 storytellers scattered across Ocllo island. Each one will share a unique multi-page story about the island’s history. After hearing their tale, they will give you a written note as proof of your visit. Once you have collected all 8 notes, return to Mirael to complete the quest.
Hulf witnessed the fall of Vaelthar as a child. The village well turned dark, the water poisoned the villagers, and the dead rose from their graves. His mother carried him to safety but succumbed to the curse herself. He returned years later to keep vigil over the cemetery.
Torgin is the last of the Ironhand smiths. His grandfather built the finest forge on Ocllo. One winter, an orc warband descended and destroyed the smithy, killing the smiths within. Young Torgin hid in the coal cellar, fled the island for 20 years, then returned to rebuild what he could from the ashes.
Seamus is the sole survivor of Shelton’s Landing, a fishing village destroyed by a magical “wrathwind” storm. His wife and sons perished in the waves. The seals that now inhabit the beach are said to be the spirits of the drowned villagers.
Vessa is a former militia ranger who watches the spider-infested Greenveil valley. Giant spiders emerged from deep caves and overran the mountain pass. Half the militia was lost trying to clear them. Vessa stayed behind alone to monitor and contain the infestation.
Blackjaw is the last of the Ironside pirates. The lagoon served as a pirate haven for over a century. Captain Ironside’s code was simple: never prey on Ocllo’s own. The fleet fought off sea raiders in exchange for the town’s tolerance. When younger captains broke the code, the navy came and the fleet was destroyed.
Korrin is an explorer mapping the dungeon beneath the ruins of Vaelthar. The dungeon predates the village itself and contains inscriptions in an unknown language. The cursed well extends down to the deepest level. Korrin believes something was imprisoned in the depths, and the curse may have been its way of reaching the surface.
Elder Moss is the keeper of the sacred southern lake, known as the Mirror of Spirits. The first settlers of Ocllo made a pact with the land spirits at this lake, and its waters once had healing properties. As generations forgot the old pact, the spirits withdrew. Elder Moss has kept vigil at the lake for 40 years.
Elspeth is the Spirit Warden at a tower built by the mage Aldric Voss, who attempted to breach the veil between life and death. Dozens of spirits poured through the tear he created, and Aldric was consumed by his own ritual. Elspeth now maintains the wards that contain the ghosts and prevent the breach from widening.
