Anatomy augments healing with bandages, and offers a damage bonus in melee and ranged combat. It also determines the chance of several passive weapon abilities for Swordsmanship, Fencing, Mace Fighting, and Archery. Anatomy when combined with Evaluating Intelligence also grants defensive wrestling abilities.
Anatomy is a passive skill that has various effects on several of your characters abilities, similar to Evaluating Intelligence's effect on Magery.
Anatomy can be useful in several ways:
Anatomy has no effect on Veterinary (which instead uses Animal Lore).
The damage bonus in melee and ranged combat provided by Anatomy is calculated using the following formula:
Damage Modifier = (Anatomy / 5) / 100
If Anatomy is at GM, an additional 10% damage bonus is applied.
A player with 60.0 Anatomy and 60.0 Healing allows the player to cure poison with bandages.
A player with 80.0 Anatomy and 80.0 Healing allows the player to resurrect a dead player with bandages.
With 80 Anatomy and Evaluating Intelligence, there is a chance to dodge an attack and thus prevent spell interruption, similar to the effect provided by Wrestling. This provides more interesting builds for Mages.
80 Anatomy and 80 Wrestling, unlocks Stun.
This move is active and works in both PvP and PvM. This skill provides a 4 second stun against the target, and has a 50% chance to be successful when both skills are at GM. Stun shares immunity timers with paralyzing blow and the paralyze spell.
80 Anatomy and 80 Archery unlocks Staggering Shot.
Each shot presents a chance to trigger this effect, based off of Anatomy. When successfully activated, the victim will be slowed by 50% for 4 to 8 seconds. Slower archery weapons will inflict a longer staggering shot effect. The archer has a 25% increased accuracy bonus during the duration of the effect against a staggered target. If Staggering Shot successfully triggers when the victim already has staggering shot, the shot will do an additional 25% damage.
