Stone Masonry is a branch of Carpentry and Mining for Grandmaster crafters.
A new resource has been added called High Quality Granite, and an array of new crafting recipes added for stone furniture.
Stone Masonry involves the use of High-Quality Granite to craft the new stone furniture recipes.
Note: These recipes are different than the pre-existing recipes that require Stone to craft and those recipes remain untouched.
Stone Masonry requires 100.0 Carpentry to learn the recipes, and 100.0 Mining to learn how to mine High Quality Granite.
Firstly you will need to learn how to obtain the High Quality Granite. This is available by purchasing the book “Learn Harvesting High Quality Granite” from an NPC Miner merchant in town for 45,000gp
To gather High Quality Granite, you will need to use Granite Pickaxes, which can be obtained by completing Blacksmith Bulk Orders or can be purchased from an NPC Miner merchant in town for 20,000gp
Using a Granite Pickaxe will be much like regular mining. While mining with a Granite Pickaxe, you will receive metal as you normally would, and in addition, you will occasionally find some granite as well.
The type, or color, of granite you receive will match that of the metal type that exists in that vein. For example, if you use a granite pickaxe at a Valorite metal vein you will only find Valorite colored granite at that spot.
An array of new recipes can be unlocked by using the “Learning Stone Masonry” book. This is available for purchase from an NPC Carpenter merchant in town for 45,000gp
Almost all of the new stone furniture items will match the color of the material you craft it with, however, a couple of the assets do not accept a hue at this time and so they will only be craftable with plainly colored granite, from iron veins.
