Players in a faction can participate in automated PvP events called Faction Pillar Conflicts. These events take place several times a day at pillars throughout the open world of Britannia. Throughout the 30 minute event players fight for control of the faction pillar. These events have a special rule set for those faction players within the area of at the time of the event.
When an event is starting a sever wide announcement is made. A portal is then opened from each major city. Faction players need only to be within the event area to participate. When a faction player approaches a faction pillar while it's active, they will receive a Faction Event effect. This effect will apply a special rule set and enter the player in the event.
While a faction player is participating in the event they will experience the following effects.
In addition to the points a faction is awarded for controlling the pillar, kills will also award a faction points. A kill will take away a portion of points from the victim's faction and award them to the killer's faction. If a faction does not have any points then no points will be stolen from that faction by a kill. When a player is killed, the killer is decided by who does the most damage to the victim and their stats will reflect this even if they did not get the deathblow.
When a player dies in the event they will only drop magical equipment on their corpse. They will be teleported to an event healer for their faction within a few seconds of dying. Event healers will resurrect all dead players of their faction that are nearby every 60 seconds. Players are resurrected to full health but will need to still wait for any temporary stat loss to fade. Faction healers will not resurrect pets unless they are mountable. If a player is slain their pets will be teleported with them to the faction base even if they are still living. Players of opposing factions who enter an enemy faction base will be slain by the faction guards.
Faction healers and stable masters can be found in each of the faction bases at a Faction Pillar Conflict event site.
Only members of the corresponding faction base can go inside the base. If other faction members try to enter during an event they will be killed and returned to their base.
During an event faction players who die will receive stat loss, like standard gameplay, however the effects are modified for the duration of the event.
There is a special command that players may use to return to the faction base if for whatever reason they fail to teleport on death back to base.
Players will gain points for their faction by standing near any of the three control pillars. If only one faction is present at the time of a control check that faction will receive 2 points. If two factions are present they both will receive 1 point each. If three factions are present no faction is awarded points. The faction at the end of the 30 minute event with the most faction points will win.
Players also gain points for their individual performance in the event. When they control the faction pillar the points the faction gains also are gained by the individual. When a faction player kills another and steals points from the faction's score, they will gain a portion of the stolen points based on the damage they did in the kill. Individual players are rewarded with silver based on their performance in the event at the end.
At the end of the event the faction with the most faction points wins. Individual player scores are used to reward the top 5 players in the event regardless of if they are on the winning faction or not.
