We are ready to release the Britannia factions! This page will cover all the changes to factions coming to Britannia. This page will cover the patch notes for this large release which is mostly focused on factions.
For the 1.0 release the factions state has been reset to a clean slate.
Faction Towns will start controlled by no one.
Faction rankings have been reset.
When legacy factions players login they will re-join their current faction.
Players will have 100 kill points.
Players will have 0 deficit points.
Players will have their legacy faction silver capped at 20,000 with any excess being added at a reduced rate.
Players will be able to resign their faction immediately if they wish to join another one or leave.
Faction rank will be set to rank 1.
Faction rankings are calculated daily so the leaderboard will not populate until the first scheduled update.

Players are unable to place housing in a faction event area.
Players cannot mark runes near a faction event pillar.
Numerous bug fixes and improvements to existing town sigil, faction stone, and town stone interactions.
A large map update has occurred providing numerous improvements as well as the addition of 5 faction event locations within the overland.
The world map has been replaced with a new stylized version.
Faction Crafting for faction only equipment has been added for blacksmiths and tailors in factions.
This includes 57 pieces of crafted faction equipment across all factions.
Crafters need to be GM to craft faction gear and in the faction.
Each faction equipment recipe requires an Equipment Requisition ingredient which is bought using silver from the faction store.
Faction equipment is crafted using various combinations of colored ores and different quality leathers.
Faction armor has 33% increased durability and 10% increased armor rating.
Faction weapons have 33% increased durability and 5% increased accuracy.
Faction shields have 33% increased durability and 5% increased block chance.
Faction equipment can be blessed for a 7 day duration using a Faction Equipment Bless Deed.
New rewards have been added to the faction store.
The faction store will now sell a Faction Equipment Bless Deed. This item can be used to temporarily bless a regular or faction piece of equipment for 7 days.
Faction kills are now determined by who has done the most damage to the victim.
Faction silver rewards for kills are now split among those contributing to the kill proportionally.
A dynamic under population silver reward bonus has been added. This bonus will change as the currently online populations of factions change. The under populated factions will receive additional silver as a result.
Capturing additional towns will dynamically lower the price of items in the faction store.
Capturing a town will reset guards and mage vendors.
Stealing a town sigil from either a faction stone or a town stone now requires a timer of 5 seconds. During this timer the stealing can be interrupted by movement or damage.
Faction guards can now be placed by rank 3 and higher faction members.
By saying “I wish to place a guard” players may purchase a faction guard which will spawn at their location.
These guards have to be placed within the city limits of a controlled town.
There is a limit of 10 guards and no more than 3 guards can be placed within 10 units of each other.
By saying “I wish to dismiss a guard” players may dismiss a faction guard.
Faction leaderboard UI has been revamped for better stat tracking and usability.
Faction leaderboard now tracks event wins, kills, deaths, kill points, guild, and silver earned.
Faction leaderboard now features a global ranking search that allows players to search for a faction member by name to see their stats.
Faction store has been revamped for better usability.
Faction rewards in the store now can have rank requirements to purchase them.
Faction rewards can only be purchased when the faction owns a town by way of the town stone.
Faction rewards will have their cost reduced by owning additional towns up to a reduction of 30%.
Silver is lost when leaving a faction.
Existing faction silver from legacy factions will be capped at 20k silver and any remaining after will be added with diminishing returns.
Faction tamer's pets will receive stat loss along with the player for a duration of 10 minutes in standard play and 90 seconds during a faction event.
Faction tamer's pets will no longer receive skill loss if they are killed by opposing factions. They will however receive skill loss if they are killed while under the effect of stat loss from recently dying.
Players are no longer required to be in a faction to view the faction leaderboards at a faction stone.
Armor reduction variance ranges have been adjusted for PvP and PvM. This results in less situations where damage is fully mitigated.
When bards peacemake a player's pet they will now receive an immunity timer of 30 seconds at the end of the effect.
Peacemaking a target who is already pacified no longer resets the duration completely. Instead it refreshes it based on how long the effect has been active. The longer the effect is active, the greater the additional duration added will be when applying peacemaking again.
Bards cannot gain skill from barding pets.
Pets will now correctly scale their maximum health based on their total strength. If their strength is reduced their maximum health will also be scaled accordingly.
Pets will now move 12% faster when their owner is mounted.
Pets will now move 10% faster in combat, scaled by the number of control slots they consume. Less control slots means the pet will move faster.
The scaling threshold for pet damage has been lowered by 10 for scaling in PvP.
Combat Manual's trait which provides a chance to decrease poison level has had it's effective ranges increased to 10 - 25% chance in both PvM and PvP.
Combat Manual's trait which provides a better chance to cure poison has had it's effective ranges increased to 15 - 30% in both PvM and PvP.
Faction field spells will now only affect opposing faction members and monsters when the caster is in a faction.
Explosion potions will now only affect opposing faction members and monsters when the thrower is in a faction.
A new set of factions only equipment is available to crafters in factions. There are in total 57 new factions only equipment pieces, not including rewards. All faction equipment has 33% increased durability. Faction weapons have an additional 5% accuracy bonus. Faction shields have an additional 5% block chance. Faction armor has an additional 10% armor reduction. All faction equipment is eligible to be temporarily blessed with a Faction Equipment Bless Deed which can be purchased from a Town Stone with silver. All faction equipment is crafted using combinations of colored ingots, boards, and leather respectively. In addition to that a Faction Equipment Requisition Deed is required which can be purchased by any faction member using a Town Stone and silver. A Faction Equipment Requisition Deed is not consumed on failure to craft the item. Below is a list of each set of equipment which is available in Minax, Shadowlords, and True Britannians variants.

Faction Requisition Deed
This item allows faction crafters to create a piece of faction equipment.
Faction Equipment Bless Deed
This item allows faction players to temporarily bless a non magical or faction piece of equipment.
A large amount of cloaks have been added in addition to two mounts, and some decorative items.
Some rewards maybe restricted by rank.
Faction Rewards will be continually added on a seasonal basis.
